Laser Engraving FAQ’s
What is laser engraving?
Laser engraving is the use of lasers to engrave designs or messages/wording onto an object. Unlike typical engraving methods, it does not involve inks or additional tools. Laser engraving is usually a faster process than conventional engraving and is a flexible form of engraving in that you can often engrave on to materials or objects that are too small or awkward for conventional methods.
What materials can be engraved onto?
Almost any material can be engraved onto with a laser but the effect might appear differently. For instance, the engraving on some woods might appear burnt and very softwoods can be destroyed altogether if the lasering is not performed at very low temperatures.
- Natural materials
- Coated metals
